Topic: gparted display not showing up

When running gparted, i encounter an error where i cannot get past the config screens (language, graphics, etc), because once i do get past it, my monitor says "unusable signal" and goes into standby.  I've used multiple burns of the disc, re downloaded it, etc.  I've used basically every mode available from the first screen, and when trying to config the video settings myself (3rd menu) it continues to attempt to boot, but fail, and leave me at command line.

ATI graphics card.

I have absolutly no clue what to do, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

If you need any other information, let me know.

Re: gparted display not showing up

Do you use the latest ISO version?
I hope you did check the md5sum of the downloaded file.

You can try to run the command
sudo Forcevideo
(I don't remember if it is Forcevideo or forcevideo in this version, you can try both)
and select VESA graphics driver at a resolution of 1024x768. It works on almost any modern system.

*** It is highly recommended to backup any important files before doing resize/move operations. ***
