Topic: [SOLVED]Keyboard not responding when asking to choose keymap

I am a new user, so bear with me smile

I am trying to create a new partition so I can dual boot my current Windows XP MCE and a new installation Windows 7 RC. System Specs if it matters:

AMD Athlon x2 5200+
ASUS mobo
2GB DDR2-800
ATI Radeon 4670
WD 250GB HDD
Windows XP MCE

So i d/l the iso, put it on a CD, all seems fine. I can use the keyboard at the initial grey screen where it asks to choose auto-configuration, etc. I have tried all the auto-configuration options and it seems to load correctly up until it asks to choose a keymap.

I dont know if the machine is locked-up or the keyboard isnt responding but I cant get past that screen, as I cant choose any of the options it gives me.

I should also mention this is the iso i downloaded

gparted-livecd-0.3.4-11.iso

Any ideas??? Thanks

Re: [SOLVED]Keyboard not responding when asking to choose keymap

0.3.4-11 is quite old. Can you please try the latest version?
I remember that some 0.3.4-x versions didn't work properly with USB keyboards, especially when other USB devices were connected to the computer. There are often some motherboard devices internally connected to USB ports (wifi port, card readers and others). If this is the case, you could perhaps work with a PS2 keyboard.

However, it is better and safer to go with the latest version.

YES!, I realized that 0.3.4-11 was outdated after some further investigation (it was given to me from a buddy)

After downloading the latest version it was smooth sailing. Thanks
