Topic: oversized text in gui

Gparted came up with humongous, unreadable text when I booted it.  I removed my VGA card and went to the built in monitor jack but the same thin g happened. I get the same result in all resolutions.  I have an AMD64 2x machine with Biostar K8M800 Micro Socket AM2 motherboard.  Anybody know why?

Can you give more info please:
Is this happening with the automatic configuration boot up?
Did you try some alternative boot option with other graphics and resolution selected?

Re: oversized text in gui

I used forced graphics as well as all auto modes  I got nothing at all but an X in the middle of the screen with the auto modes.

In forced graphics only VESA was listed as an option, but I could alter the screen resolution-  the text was humongus, over written and illegible in all resolutions  It looked exactly the same in all resolutions.

Did you check the md5sum for the downloaded ISO file?  You will find the right value in the comment file in the Sourceforge download page for the version you used.
I hope you have the latest version.
