Topic: [SOLVED]Howto move "filesystem.squashfs" ?

Hello,

I have a problem. I have install gparted on my USB-Stick, but I will move "/live/filesystem.squashfs" to "/boot/kernel/gparted/filesystem.squashfs". How can I say gparted where is "filesystem.squashfs"? I try:

label GParted Live
  MENU DEFAULT
  # MENU HIDE
MENU LABEL GParted Live (Default settings)
  kernel /boot/kernel/gparted/vmlinuz1
  # run if "/live/filesystem.squashfs" exist
  # append initrd=/boot/kernel/gparted/initrd1.img boot=live union=aufs noswap noprompt vga=791 ip=frommedia nolocales
  # fetch runs only with http and nfs -.-
  # append initrd=/boot/kernel/gparted/initrd1.img boot=live union=aufs noswap noprompt vga=791 ip=frommedia nolocales fetch=/boot/kernel/gparted/filesystem.squashfs
  # Do not work
  # append initrd=/boot/kernel/gparted/initrd1.img boot=live union=aufs noswap noprompt vga=791 ip=frommedia nolocales live-initramfs=/boot/kernel/gparted/filesystem.squashfs
  # Do not work
  # append initrd=/boot/kernel/gparted/initrd1.img boot=live union=aufs noswap noprompt vga=791 ip=frommedia nolocales live-media-path=/boot/kernel/gparted/filesystem.squashfs

  TEXT HELP
  * GParted live version: 0.4.4-1. Live version maintainer: Steven Shiau
  * Disclaimer: GParted live comes with ABSOLUTE NO WARRANTY
  ENDTEXT

I hope, you can help me.

Re: [SOLVED]Howto move "filesystem.squashfs" ?

Hello dErPaScAl,

just use initrd-parameter

live-media-path=boot/kernel/gparted

(no leading slash !)

and - what might also be interesting for you -

toram=filesystem.squashfs

(no path !)

uses only RAM, so that no drive stays mounted.
