Topic: ubuntu-(debian)-recognizes not swap

Hi,
yesterday I changed my whole ubuntu 6.10 WS-installation.That means it is without LVM.
Especially I reduced / and swap and now ubuntu dont recognizes the swap.
Swap is not mounted.
But - STRANGE - Knoppix recognizes the swap and mounts it on its live-CD.
The fstab ist the following:
root@sapho:/proc# cat /etc/fstab
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>

Re: ubuntu-(debian)-recognizes not swap

could you past the output of "fdisk -l" too, to have a look at some changes ?
I wondr if moving swap change the UUID ...

Re: ubuntu-(debian)-recognizes not swap

(il est preferable de rester en anglais pour permettre a d'autres personnes d'intervenir !)

could you try to contact any ubuntu forum and ask for swap configuration ? You need to see what has been changed during the move, okay ?
Could be UUID but fdisk didnt return any thing i can use.
May there is another way to fix this. Try ubuntu forum, please...
And tell what happen.
thx for reporting !
