Topic: Won't boot

If I insert the live CD and then boot from it, it gets me to the first screen, then I select the normal configuration (or something like that) and then it shows some things and I get just black screen. I use 4.1-2. What is the problem?

Re: Won't boot

You can try another boot option, to select the "VESA" graphics driver at a resolution 1024x768. It works on most systems.

Re: Won't boot

I figured now that it boots in failsafe mode, is it OK to resize partitions in there?
EDIT: When I try to boot in any other mode I get something like Kernel Error.

Re: Won't boot

There is no problem at all with the failsafe mode. Often manufacturers use weird customized hardware parts.

It would be better to check md5sum on the ISO file you downloaded. And be sure that you have backup of any important files. Murphy teaches that bad things tend to happen if backup copies are missing.
