Topic: Resizing my /home partition...

Hi!

I have installed gparted 2.5 on my ubuntu/edgy system. I want to extend my /home partition (hda1) to the unallocated space on my harddrive. How can I do it? See the attached screengrab. Thanks for helping me.

Re: Resizing my /home partition...

i think it's best if you get our livecd (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php).
It will start with all your partitions unmounted, from there on it's just a matter of growing the partition and pressing 'apply'.

have fun smile

Re: Resizing my /home partition...

OK thanks, I will try it, but currently I don't have a CD writer..:(  so is there an other method to accomplish this? If i click on the /home partition, the options are greyed out, so I have tried to unmount it, but it gave me an error. Then, I've tried to "umount" it from the command line, but just another errror. ("device is busy"). Hmm I will try to find a CD writer somewhere... smile
