Topic: Video looks "washed out"

Hello,

I'm repartitioning a drive in a HP DL385 G2 with GParted. GParted boots but the screen is washed out and very hard to read.

I've tried the default and safe graphics mode with no luck. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Did you verify that your monitor is set on default/factory settings?

I'm actually connected to the server using a KVM switch. I just noticed that Ubuntu 8.04 Live CD does the same "washed out" thing.

The host OS Windows 2k3), Clonezilla and Ubuntu 8.10 LiveCD all look fine. I wonder if Ubuntu 8.04 and GParted Live CDs use the same version of Xorg. I'll look into that.
