Topic: Hangs up during keymap selection
I can't seem to get by the keymap selection screen. GParted hangs & I have to completely restart.
Any suggestions??

which version of "GParted", which locale (e.g en, us, cz, pl or ?), which keyboard layout ("qwerty" or else ? ), which keyboard interface (USB, PS/2)? If USB : is there an external hub involved ? Where does the system "hang" exactly ? There are up to four stages. Quality and speed of support always depends on complete informations.

The version is 0.3.9-4
This is a Macbook laptop.
The system hangs when its asking you about the keymap. It has 4 selections for you to scroll thru. I can not scroll thru these. As a matter of fact, the mouse cursor isn't even visible. There is no response to the arrow keys, tab key, or enter. I just have to hold down the power button to turn it off.
But I did read about "Parted Magic 3". I downloaded that & it worked fine, with the exception of it removing my Mac partition while expanding my Windows XP partition. I liked the way PM3 worked, its interface, & looks. So I guess I don't really need GParted. I believe they are related but am not sure. I would like to know why GParted didn't work though.
Would you also know why PM3 hosed my Mac partition??

Hi!
As far as I've seen, both GParted and PartedMagic use the same set of tools - which means, GParted as the graphical front-end presented to the user and libparted (along with some other file system-specific tools) to do most of the real work behind the curtains.
Since the GParted LiveCD and PartedMagic use different versions and configurations of the underlying base system packages (and therefore might even slightly digffer in their feature set), one might work a given system while the other won't - I thus prefer to have both tools at hand.
