Topic: (solved) Help Moving Partitions and extending C Drive

Thank you so much for your help. I am trying to extend my C:\ drive (boot volume). I have 3 partitions as well as 3 gigs of unallocated space. Currently my partition order is C, E, Unallocated Space, D. I cannot move the E, C, or Unallocated space partition. Can you recommend anyway that i can move either E or the unallocated space so i can extend my C partition? I was thinking of shrinking my E partition and having the c drive occupy that space but i am not sure if that is dangerous. Any recommendations?

I use NTFS filesystem.

Thank you for your help.

It would be better if you can provide a screenshot from GParted, with details on the actual partition state. Please, try to use the latest GParted version, and be sure to take backup of any important file. There are various reasons that a resizing operation could be unsuccessful.

(Moved to the support section)

*** It is highly recommended to backup any important files before doing resize/move operations. ***

Thank you for your help! I untagged my volumes as "boot" and "lba" and then resized and moved them.
