Topic: Extend NTFS partition with bad sectors

I've got a disk with an 8 GB primary partition, a 16 GB unused area, and a 52 GB extended partition (with two logical drives, 50 and 2 GB).  I want to extend the 8 GB primary partition into the unused space.  The problem is that there are a few bad sectors within the partition, and GParted is refusing to extend it.  I completely understand the risks of using drives with bad sectors, but I'm making an informed decision to go ahead with this.  If I could just get the underlying partition extended, I could run ntfsresize with the -b switch to resize the filesystem.  Is there any tool on the gparted live CD that will let me extend the partition?
