Topic: system halted - invalid compressed format (err=1)

Hi gurus,

I'm new to GParted. My laptop(vaio z17) halted when I try to load the main window, here's the messages:

Probing EDD(odd=off to disable)... ok
decompressing linux...
invalid compressed format (err=1)
-- system halted

Is it just because of a corrupted CD burning? I'm using 0.3.9-4, and have tried safe mode. Appreciated for any help!

BTW, I'm trying to fix up the Vista with Solaris + ZFS root file system. Is there anyone who is playing with this(ZFS is not on the supported list)?

Thx!

A corrupted cd can be the source of the problem. Please, check the md5 sum.

About ZFS support: it isn't actually supported, mainly due to license issues. Lately there was a feature request with new info.
