Topic: using Gparted live cd 0.3.3 stuck at prompt gparted ~ # $

I am a newbie using gparted and on the run it asks "Load keymap (enter for default)  which I hit return.
Next it asks me for my language which I hit 33 (us english) and hit return.
then I get the prompt
gparted ~ # $
I have no  idea what to do at this point?
I am trying to resize my bootable drive on parallels on a mac.
Please Help.

I guess you have some error messages just in front of your eyes :-/
I am not sure GParted really works with MAC. Anyway there is a bug with keymaps ATM. I think you need to type
ssttaarrttxx
so it starts smile

(not sure)

Hi Larry,
It's not really on the mac platform although it is on the parallels platform which is a another software.
I made a mistake before because the dollar sign does not show in the command prompt.
When I type in ssttaarrttxx I am returned with "bash:  ssttaarrttxx:  command not found.
when I type in startx, I get XIO: Fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by pper) on X server ":0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
Any other suggestions? paul
