Topic: growing reiserfs partition [SOLVED]

I have this following partition layout :

Disk /dev/hda: 120.0 GB, 120034123776 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14593 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
/dev/hda1               1        1702    13671283+  83  Linux
/dev/hda2            1703       14593   103546957+   5  Extended
/dev/hda5            1703       13373    93747276   83  Linux

Disk /dev/hdb: 40.0 GB, 40020664320 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 4865 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
/dev/hdb1   *           1        1084     8707198+   7  HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hdb2            1085        4865    30370882+  83  Linux

and I want to add my /hda5 from /hda1....I mean my /hda1 is empty and I want to growing my /hda5 free disk space from /hda1 is it possible?

Please, could you have a look at this first : http://gparted.sourceforge.net/larry/tips/gfs.htm
and then tell if it 's okay.

Hi ,

can we do the same thing as in http://gparted.sourceforge.net/larry/tips/gfs.htm , but for a reiserfs file system . i want to grow my /dev/sda7 reiserfs partition with 20Gb taken from /dev/sda5 ntfs partition
