Topic: Failed to mount After intend to expand and canceled ext4.

Hello GParted team.

I'm just non-expert long time Linux user. I  have/had a 4TB external usb drive, with 2TB ext4 Partition. (without backups of it, was/is the backups drive).
-Using Gparted included in the last Xubuntu 18.04.
-I tried to extend / increace to the 2TB left from Previously deleted encrypted partition.
-Process seamed  to take very long but i wait, the information screen got stock on about 300GB with a message some how (Resize .... and move to the right ....)
-I press "Cancel" but nothing happened, only changed the button "Cancel" to "Force Cancel".
-After reading here in some post i decide to wait about 30 hours, with no luck although the LED from the hard drive was regularly blinking.
-Had a look into the "Applaying pending operations" "Details" and list many error lines piling up.
-At this point decided to "Force Cancel".
-Read more in forums and try to recover the partition with "TestDisk".
So now it is mess up, i did something wrong because i have  2 Partitions of 2TB, the fist one (original) it is not mounting with the error"Failed to mount "DataExt2T".  Error mounting /dev/sdc1 at /media/li/DataExt2T: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdc1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error." ;  and the second it is mounting empty.

What i could i have done wrong with testdisk?
Can i set up the first partition again?
Can i recover the Data from it, and do i need to proceed with photorec or not?
If i use photo rec u other manner can i use the second partition empty to recover on it the data from the first?
Thanks a million Mates.
