Topic: Input/output error during write

Hello,

First of all, thank you for developing such a good application that I have been using for years.

I've been trying to format a USB stick unsuccessfully. I've tried different methods, including using gparted. The error I got is "Input/output error during write" and I have the following log:

Can you help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Input/output error during write

Input/output errors usually indicate a hardware problem. Since you were trying to format a USB stick it is possible that the connection was loose, or that the USB stick is failing.

Ok, then it is probably the USB that is failing since I tried more than once always leading to the same error.

Re: Input/output error during write

Some last checks:
Try to use another USB port. Perhaps the contacts of the connector are damaged or loose.
If you use it through any USB hub, try to connect it directly to the computer's port.
