Topic: [SOLVED] My flash drive isn't being recognized in Windows.

On Linux Mint 17.3 it's detected.  I ran some commands and will post the input & output:

luis@luis-NV55C ~ $ cat /proc/bus/usb/devices
cat: /proc/bus/usb/devices: No such file or directory
luis@luis-NV55C ~ $ sudo fdisk -l

Re: [SOLVED] My flash drive isn't being recognized in Windows.

If I recall correctly, if Windows uses a certain bit set in the partition table to determine if the device is a removable USB flash drive, or if it is an entire hard drive.  It is possible that this is causing issues.

You might check to see if Windows recognizes the USB device in the disk administrator/manager.

It is:

Yet it isn't there in My Computer.

Re: [SOLVED] My flash drive isn't being recognized in Windows.

Can you check if it is seen in the Windows Disk Manager?

How To Open Disk Management

Re: [SOLVED] My flash drive isn't being recognized in Windows.

It is accessible in Windows after I reformated and added a partition:

Re: [SOLVED] My flash drive isn't being recognized in Windows.

Thank you LAPIII for reporting back with how you made the USB drive accessible in window, and also for editing the initial post to prefix SOLVED in front of the title.
