Topic: Old machine

HI, everybody.
I downloaded Gparted vesion 0.3.6.7 and the old version .1 and .2 because the new version dosn't work because I think I don't have enough memory on my pc.

The problem when the version .1 and .2 load, I can see for 2 seonds my partitions ans all disapear, I cannot resize them, I see only the background: "Gparted" for the version .1 and for the version .2 I see the blue background and the bar at the bottom.

What I must to do?

Re: Old machine

Hi,

how much RAM, what Operating system, which Graphic card (shared memory or own memory; how much actually) ? Perhaps size , type, manufacturer of the HDD ? Starting "Gparted" from CDROM, memory stick ? Selected menu point(s) ? What do you want to do with "Gparted" ?

The more information, the more precise the answers .

Greetings

Re: Old machine

What do you mean by .1 and .2?  0.1 and 0.2?
If so, please don't use so old versions. They can be buggy. Versions 0.3.3-x and 0.3.4-x are much more safe.
X-windows problems usually come from the graphics adapter or the chipset. Some integrated graphics adapters are sometimes hard to work.
Using a VESA option works in most cases.
