Topic: MY D IS CORRUPTED !!! HELP Please

Hi,,,
how is everybody
I've decided to install Ubuntu on my machine
so I have to have a partition to install it on
I tried to use Partition Magic but there was some problems.
I switched to GParted Live CD
to resize, move, and grow my Hard Disk partitions
but it took very long time
the hole process took about 20 then it started the next step and it estimate the needed time to 20 hour
so I've cancel it
but when I start Windows XP
it started to check my Hard Disk (I have C and D)
C drive is okay smile
but my D is died sad
all my files are corrupted..
all of the files are there but most of them cannot but run

so what can I do to get my files back :S

It isn't recommended at all to stop a resizing operation. Furthermore, it is advised to take backup before going to resize or move partitions.

You can try the recovery program "photorec". It comes with the "testdisk" livecd.
